Farndon Cemetery

The Parish Council is responsible for the Cemetery that is located on Marsh Lane, adjacent to the Memorial Hall.  It takes both full interments and cremated remain burials.

Currently, a restriction is in place to allow only residents of Farndon, or those who have formerly lived in the village and had to move away for care, to be buried in the Cemetery due to shortage of space.

Pre-purchase of burial plots has also been suspended for the same reason.

The Parish Council continues to operate its burial records through written registers, which are available for inspection by anyone undertaking family research.

The Parish Council also looks after the St Peter's Churchyard, which is closed for burials.

The regulations adopted by the Parish Council for the cemetery have recently been updaed and are available to download through the link below.  The Parish Council expect that these regulations will be respected by everyone who has a family member or friend interred in the Cemetery as they are there to ensure the space remains a place for quiet reflection and remembrance for all.

For any enquiries regarding the Cemetery please email the Clerk, Jayne Saunders, at [email protected] or call 07946 601364
