At its 4th December 2024 meeting, the Parish Council agreed to apply to the Public Works Loan Board for a loan of £35,000
There are two large capital projects that the Parish Council need to progress:
• Resurfacing of the Riverside Car Park
• Works at Farndon Ponds
The Parish Council currently have a Public Works Loan Board (PWLB) loan that is due to finish in July 2025. The amount included in the budget for this is £2,892, paid in two half yearly amounts of £1,445.76.
To cover the cost of the capital works Members agreed that a PWLB Loan in the sum of £35,000 be applied for (at an annual cost of £2,607.22) to cover the cost of works to the Riverside Car Park and to Farndon Ponds. Payment of this can be accommodated in the existing budget for the PWLB loan as the annual cost is less than that already included in the budget. There is no requirement to increase the Precept to cover the cost of the loan.
